FROM RESEARCH TO IMPACT
At LYEONS, we believe that meaningful support starts with evidence. This page is where we share the science that inspires our work, from academic research to surveys and studies. By exploring how our bodies and minds respond to stress, connection, and rhythm, we aim to create adaptive, science-backed tools that improve daily life. Our research is ongoing, and we are committed to learning, sharing, and building together.
Mini-Review
Exploring cardiac physiological synchrony and its implications for stress and anxiety
This paper explores the science of how our heart rhythms can align during shared experiences, a phenomenon known as cardiac physiological synchrony (CPS). This synchrony, linked to empathy and social connection, may help reduce stress and anxiety by creating a sense of closeness and calm. While the exact mechanisms are still being studied, early evidence suggests that CPS can support teamwork, ease pain, and strengthen relationships. These insights are guiding our work to develop non-invasive tools that harness the body’s natural rhythms to promote resilience, wellbeing, and healthier connections.
LYEONS Survey
Insights on Stress and Anxiety
LYEONS conducted a survey to better understand the frequency, severity, and life impact of stress and anxiety. Responses from 73 participants revealed that these challenges are often persistent, moderate to severe, and affect multiple areas of life including work, relationships, and sleep. Most respondents actively try a mix of strategies such as lifestyle changes, therapy and mindfulness, with varied success. The findings highlight the need for personalised and flexible support. These insights are shaping LYEONS’ mission to create evidence based and adaptive tools that promote brain health and resilience.

Our research continues
We are actively exploring how sensory stimulation can influence nervous system regulation, with particular attention to people living with anxiety and stress. This work is part of our commitment to developing evidence-informed and user-centred approaches that strengthen brain health and overall resilience. As our studies progress, we will continue to share new insights with the wider community.
