Exploring Calm, Together
Join real-world studies exploring how LYEONS Heart may
help create moments of calm in everyday stress
LYEONS Heart
LYEONS Heart is a small, portable device that provides tactile, auditory, and visual stimulation designed to interact with the autonomic nervous system (processes like heart rate and heart-rate variability). The aim is to offer subtle, multisensory input that may support reducing physiological stress responses while you continue everyday activities.

How does it work?

Heartbeat-like tactile & audio feedback
Subtle pulses and soft tones follow a calm, steady heartbeat cadence. These cues may encourage physiological synchrony, helping heart rate and breathing settle towards steadier patterns.

Breathing-like visual guidance
An expand–contract light pattern follows slow respiratory pacing supporting breath–rhythm synchrony, steadiness, and co-regulation.

Personalised stimulation
Matching the stimulation to someone’s natural rhythms promotes comfort and a sense of stability, and may make synchrony easier to achieve.

Our Approach
Stress and anxiety can disrupt focus, decision-making, and rest. LYEONS Heart uses gentle multisensory stimulation to support the body’s natural regulation systems without training or sustained attention. We are studying whether it can help to:
- Reduce physiological markers of stress
- Support steadier, goal-directed behaviour
- Fit naturally into daily life
Early observational use has shown encouraging calming effects, guiding our ongoing research in real-world settings.
“When I was feeling overwhelmed, I held the device and listened to the heartbeat. After a few moments my breathing slowed and I felt more grounded.”

Always There for the Moments That Matter
Supporting you to feel more present and focused.
When you activate LYEONS Heart, it delivers gentle, multisensory stimulation that can:
- Provide a soothing sensory experience during moments of stress,
- Create a sense of being more present and focused,
- Be used anytime, anywhere – without extra steps or preparation.
It is designed to be discreet, portable, and personal – something you can reach for when you need support, whether at home, at work, or on the move.

Grounded in Science
We are a team of scientists, engineers, and clinicians from Imperial College London, Royal College of Art, University of Cambridge, and Cambridge Neuroworks. Our research explores how gentle tactile, vibrotactile, auditory, and visual stimulation may support regulation of the autonomic nervous system, particularly during moments of stress and anxiety.
Early use of LYEONS Heart has shown encouraging effects. We are continuing research to better understand how multisensory approaches may help people feel calmer, more grounded, and more connected in daily life.
Be Part of the Research
We are preparing a series of real-life use studies to explore how LYEONS Heart may support stress and emotional regulation. Participants will be provided with a device to use during the study period, with the option to take part in shorter guided sessions or longer at-home use.
Participation is free, and there is no obligation when you sign up. Joining the interest list simply means you will receive updates on upcoming studies and be invited to take part if and when it feels right for you.

At LYEONS, trust grows through steady, genuine relationships. We are researchers, designers and carers who focus on real life impact. Our priority is to bring research into real life impact to support people we care about – friends, families, children, parents -and for you.
