The First Ride: PCB Testing
“Do you want to go through an emotional roller coaster?” – that was the message from one of our developers when we began testing our first PCB boards. We’d find a bug, fix it, find another bug, fix that too, and on it went. The ups and downs kept coming.
But that’s the nature of building something new. At LYEONS, every day feels like a ride on that roller coaster: trying, failing, tweaking, learning, and pushing through until it works. And yes – until it works. 🙂
Even this past weekend, when we stumbled across a crucial challenge, the team’s response was simple: “It’s okay, we just have to find a way to fix it.”
A Team That Keeps Going
Our team is made up of innovation design engineers, electronic engineers, mechatronic engineers, and scientists who are used to lab work (they really are extremely detailed!). Together, we’ve turned each challenge into a chance to learn, brainstorm, and collaborate.

It’s not just about fixing bugs; it’s about building resilience, creativity, and trust as a team.
Our Extended Family of Tools
If you’ve followed our journey, you’ll already know Fernando, our legendary 3D printer. But now we’ve added some new family members: an inkjet printer and a laser engraver/cutter.
Learning how to use them hasn’t always been straightforward. Not all of us came with experience in different types of 3D printing or engraving methods. Each new material, each new setting, brought another round of trial and error.

Other equipment has also become vital in pushing our work forward. Discovering new ways of using tools has been not just helpful, but genuinely fun.
Wearing All the Hats
Being an early-stage company means wearing lots of hats, sometimes all at once. From illustrations for our information for use (IFU), to product design, electronics, soft–firm–hardware, packaging, ribbons, cards – yes, literally everything. 🙂

And while we’re doing all that, we’re also adjusting our designs, technical files, processes, and equipment. It’s a constant cycle of refining and improving.
Why We Love the Ride
The truth is, we often work 10+ hours a day, seven days a week. But we love what we do. We cherish this moment of making with care, knowing that every step is moving us closer to putting our products into the hands of people.

Our ultimate next step will be to study and research how we can modulate physiological symptoms of anxiety, and in turn, support people feel better in their everyday lives.
So yes, it’s a roller coaster. But it’s one we’re grateful to be on. 🙂 Sending gratitude to all the team members, who, despite the challenges, always keep their smiles and cheerfulness 🙂
Thank you for reading and following our journey. We will soon launch our very first beta-users of a founding circle. 🙂 Please keep an eye out, as we’ll be running a limited release where we tailor the LYEONS Heart – developing and shaping it together with you. 🙂
